Another Season Finale of D.W. and Ender’s Game (Novel)

Hey guys! Andrew here! Bringing you a new post of my daily life. This post is going to be about yesterday (date will be provided below) instead of today which is something I used to do back in my old blogging days, but have now decided to do it since yesterday was pretty significant in my opinion. So, back as usual. Here’s a song/video of the day. For the new people who are coming to my blog, this is what I do every beginning of my daily life posts. I share a song or video for you all to enjoy. Sort of a cool intro to the life post. 😀 So the song today is from the same genre of the last song “Trap”. I love Trap. The genre’s nice. Better than Dubstep in my opinion. Just haven’t found so many songs as good as this song I’m giving to you. The song is called “Spaceman” and it is remixed Carnage Festival but was originally produced or composed by Hardwell. Enjoy!

Today was very interesting. I woke up, like I usually do on all days and began it very slowly. I started to play some Minecraft on the computer until my Mom kept shooing me off the computer. Eventually I just gave up on the idea of playing on the computer. A thing I have to mention is that my best friend Michael (whom I went with on the vacation to South Carolina) has a brother. His name is Daniel. For my old time bloggers, you all know who he is. Otherwise, I shall further explain. Daniel is Michael’s brother. Almost like Michael except younger and little bit more relaxed and humorous. Not saying that Michael isn’t. He’s just more of a chilled guy. Okay, so back on point. Daniel came over to sleepover and I’m assuming he’s staying over for 4 days until Michael comes back from the “Walk”. A church program the high-school part of the church is doing. So, now if Daniel is mentioned in this post, you won’t be wondering why the heck is he here? All explained. 😉

So, Michael and Nicole came over. The babies we have to babysit throughout the whole summer. Not the Michael I was just talking about previously. This Michael is about a year or two old. Maybe even older or younger. I am not quite sure. Usually I’m bad at guessing, so don’t put me on trial for it. xD Daniel had a good time hanging out with Michael and Nicole. Well, mostly Michael. We had loads of fun; trying out new activities such as “Dead Man” (a game) and some other fun activities that would make a baby and others laugh. Nicole, though, acted like a whiny baby. Daniel had to put Nicole in time-out 2 times cause she was either cheating at a game or she was choking someone by being too playful. All in all, I really hate it when someone is excluded. Even though I don’t necessarily enjoy Nicole’s company, I still kind of feel like I’ve been there many times. Where I’m the rejected one cause I do something stupid. But I’m not going to get all emotional about it just yet.

Eventually Nicole had her break time where she ate and then Michael and Nicole went to sleep. I began reading my Summer Reading book “Ender’s Game”. I got the book almost a week ago and coincidentally when I started reading the book I get told by my Mom that there’s a trailer for the book already. The coincidences are … real! 😀 I think I’m around page 30-40. I’m slowly reading through it. But when I’m in a book  reading mood, I can read up to 100 pages in one day. So I’ll be getting there. It is a 200-250 page book, if I can remember. Once again, I’m only assuming off of what I remember. My memory isn’t that great, unfortunately.

During when I was reading, I got on the computer and started playing Minecraft with my Mom’s permission. Eventually she came mid-way when I was playing a Hunger Games Server and said that I had won the game. Now another thing to explain. Daniel, Patricia (the oldest of my sisters [I’m the oldest of my family, though]), Matthew (my only brother), and I had a little challenge to stay up all the night from the first night Daniel came over and stay up even for another night if necessary until everyone had at least slept. Now, that this is explain, Patricia went to sleep immediately. Matthew fell asleep in the morning and it was just Daniel and I. Now when I was playing Minecraft, my Mom came in to inform me on my win. Daniel had slept. So I basically won the game. I could have won $13 in the game, but my Mom said she didn’t want any money allowed in the bets. So I took a quick nap after I finished playing Minecraft.

I woke up two hours later, when it was 2:00 o’clock and my brain was so disorientated. I thought I had slept through a whole day until 2 o’clock the next day. Thankfully my Mom made it clear that I only slept 2 hours. I went outside with Daniel and Matthew and played “Horse”. Matthew mercilessly beat Daniel and I. I was doing decent, but Daniel–I have to say–was doing an excellent job. He made many long 3-pointer shots and even swished it in. Though, for Matthew, he used his advantage of making side shots and got both of us out. Tava (the friend at the lemonade stands) and her brother Landon came around and we started talking. Eventually, after an hour, I decided to go inside and so did Matthew and Daniel. We came inside and relaxed. Until near evening, we watched the movie “Red” and then started watching D.W. (Doctor Who).

We watched the two last episodes of Season 3. Great Season Finale. Can’t tell anybody about it though. Nothing special in doing that. Well. It is pretty special cause you then know what you’re going to expect. What is the word I’m looking for? Oh yes. Not exciting. There you go. If I tell you, then it won’t be as exciting and heart-pumping to watch the Season Finale. You’ll just know what happens. So far, we have about 3 seasons left in the Doctor Who series. Then the series is still going on, except in the U.K. and not on U.S. television. Unless someone has the BBC channel.

Daniel slept once again and then I had to read to Matthew for an hour some Harry Potter. Matthew is a good reader. It’s just that during the morning and late night he is very slow and boring to listen to. He is more energetic and gives a tone when he reads during the day. Of course I’m pointing out things he may not know and how to pronounce some words. He had a problem pronouncing “cupboard” and pronounced it like “cup-board” exactly when in reality you’re supposed to pronounce it like “cubburd”. And the “u” in the beginning of “cubburd” is not pronounced like a normal. More like an uhh. Just saying for anyone judging me on my pronunciation skillzors. 🙂 And that was basically it for Thursday. The Doctor Who Season Finale day.

Enjoy your time wherever you are! Bye!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Movie Review

It started as a book.

Then a movie.

A personal obsession.

A phenomenon.

An era that is now ending.

My childhood.

A part of me that I’ll never forget.

Let’s dedicate this quote to the one and only,

Harry Potter!

The movie/book that’s gripping the nation! Such a wonderful movie. I went to go see today (July 15, 2011 [9:30 AM]) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. It’s beyond recall that it was a very emotional, great and breath-taking movie. It had many emotional climaxes throughout the movie. From time to time they threw in some scary scenes or gruesome moments, but still, this movie was beyond remarkable. The movie did a better job for itself. It portrayed the book very well, especially added some scenes that weren’t even in the book. It made things a whole lot more interesting. The actors did a very great job pretending to cry and be emotional. Even better then Shia Labeouf’s emotional scene in his new movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

The director did a very good job with the scenes and areas. If you’ve read the book, then you will most likely assume how the movie will end. If you haven’t read the book, I employ you to read the books. The first 7 movies did not project the books very well. So, if you haven’t seen this movie but have read the book, then you would most likely assume that the movie is going to fail again on projecting the book. But I’ll have to tell you that the movie was very good and showed the book very well. My opinion, you must see the movie if you’ve read the book. If you haven’t read the book, then read the book. If you’ve seen the movie but haven’t read the book, then… I don’t know what to do with you. 🙂

Here are some reviews from popular review sites.

Entertainment Weekly: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 conjures up a record-breaking $43.5 million at midnight showings

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 grossed a huge $43.5 million last night during midnight showings in 3,800 locations, shattering the midnight box office record previously held by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which earned just over $30 million from midnight shows in 2010.

The final picture in the magical franchise topped all other Harry Potter movies’ midnight grosses. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 1 earned $24 million at midnight last year, while Half-Blood Prince pulled in $22.2 million. Part 2 also more-than-tripled the $12 million that Order of the Phoenix earned at midnight, and earned almost seven times as much as Goblet of Fire, which grossed $6.3 million at midnight.

MTV Today: ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2’ The Reviews Are In!

After 10 years, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” is sending the beloved series out with a bang. Early reviews that trickled in last week pegged the movie as being the best “Harry Potter” installment. Now that the grand finale has hit theaters, “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” has solidified itself as far and away the series’ most critically beloved.

Up until now, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” held that title, with a score of 91 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. But “Part 2” has blown that out of the water with a whopping 97 percent fresh and only five dissenters counted at press time.

Other Quotes:

The Performances

“A decade later Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends, Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint), have become powerful adult wizards, while the actors are now stars. Look closely and you can see the beard inching along Harry’s, or rather Mr. Radcliffe’s pale chin. Meanwhile Ms. Watson, smoldering in bruising dark lipstick on the cover of the July Vogue, has her own hair and makeup artist, and the director, David Yates, even trains the camera on her generous peekaboo cleavage. Just as startling is the transformation of Mr. Grint who, in one early, anxious scene wears a goatee and a panicked look that together suggest a junior Paul Giamatti. My, how the children have grown — and the movies too.” — Manohla Dargis, The New York Times

The Split

“Splitting the final ‘Potter’ volume into two films was also to the advantage of Part 2, as was the fact that this film deals only with roughly the final third of the book. This enables it to avoid the tiresome teen angst that hampered Part 1 and devote almost all its time to action and confrontation, starting with the film’s initial image of the dread Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) pointing the all-powerful Elder Wand to the sky and creating … the Warner Bros. logo. Once this bit of business is out of the way, the plot kicks in with a vengeance.” — Kenneth Turan, The Los Angeles Times

The Conclusion of the Series

“So many good films come to bad ends, but not the tales of Harry Potter. The final episode of Harry’s epic journey, part 2 of ‘The Deathly Hallows,’ is the best possible end for the series that began a decade ago. In contrast to part 1, which was a ponderous exercise in stage-setting and dramatic incipience, this film, directed by David Yates and adapted by Steve Kloves, is a climax worthy of the term. It’s a dark and thunderous pageant that sets its bespectacled hero in the midst of vast forces, yet never loses track of who he is — a brave boy, to borrow both parts of Dumbledore’s fond phrase, on the way to becoming a wonderful man.” — Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal

The Farewell Factor

“Nothing quite like this series has ever been tried before in cinema history, and as I wrote last year, following the central trio of Radcliffe, Grint and Watson through the aging process has itself forced the movies to confront Rowling’s central themes, which I take to be ‘the painful transition from childhood to adulthood, the loss of parents and loved ones, the first intimations of personal mortality.’ For better or worse, Rowling’s books and the hit-and-miss movies based on them have reshaped not just the marketplace for fiction and film but the contemporary cultural imagination, re-establishing fantasy as the central narrative mode (arguably for the first time since the Middle Ages).” — Andrew O’Hehir, Salon.com

The Final Word

“This movie is impressively staged, the dialogue is given proper weight and not hurried through, there are surprises which, in hindsight, seem fair enough, and ‘Harry Potter’ now possesses an end that befits the most profitable series in movie history. These films will be around for a long time.” — Roger Ebert, The Chicago Sun-Times

Boy! I Wish I Was In England

Man, many things are going through my head. Mum (and yes, I am going to call my Mom, Mum) just told me that boys and girls in England just watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Funny, because I posted a video on me and my friend’s channel that was related to Harry Potter, just not the movie. Here’s the video. I made it using Windows Live Movie Maker. It was my first time.

Anyway, I’m progressing very well through my book. I’m still a bit behind due date. But what? Do you see everyday a 12 year old boy, with long blonde hair, who likes to play the guitar, writing a book? No. I hope that was your answer. Now, I kind of wish school would already start or we would already go back home and go to Six Flags White Water to try out the Cliffhanger. That ride is the last ride! If I finish it, then I would have finished all of the rides in that park. Oh and we might visit again Six Flags (the roller coaster one) and might try the Gotham City ride, the Cyclone, some Loony Tunes ride and whatever I see in the park.

Yeah, it’s not going to be that great. I might get dizzy or cry a bit. But that’s the point of being a man. I mean, at least it’s not going to kill me, right? Sometimes I just ask myself, “why in the world are there thrill rides?”. Yeah, I bet a couple of people have been asking that question. Oh, and another note, I’m single, once again. If your asking for the details, the only thing I’m going to tell you is that she broke up with me. I didn’t break up with her. It’s a bit sad. We both had the longest girlfriend and boyfriend relationship in such a long time. I think about over half a year. I think God’s trying to tell me to go back with Mary or my old crush. Dunno.

Well, anyways, that’s all I have to announce for the past week and days. Oh and one last thing . . . I went to Tennis with Dad and the three of his friends. I didn’t really get to play much Tennis except for the time I played a small Tennis game with my brother, Matthew. Yeah, I played him. He’s good. Other than that, I had to be ball boy or just wait until their game was over. But, before the game was over the lights on the Tennis court went out (meaning we had to exit the field). I’m trying not to get too depressed over it. I don’t even need to get depressed over it. The only thing I’m really waiting for is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and going back home to Georgia. Tomorrow, BTW, is when the movie is about to come out. 😉

Important Announcement (Listen Up Subscribers!)

As you’ve probably realized, I haven’t been posting as frequently as I was before. Well, I must tell you that inside I feel really guilty. Somehow my brain is too tired to write anything each day. I have the energy. I visit everyday to see if I have any comments. But, I never somehow have the energy to post. So, I must tell you that during the Summer I might not be posting as much. Probably around the school year when I have hyper-active energy and something to write about. I’m also busy during the Summer writing my book. And I’ve decided not to make big promises to when the book will be published. So, now, the date the book will be published is changed.

I want to have the book published by this year. But, if I don’t, poo ho. It’s not my fault. I realized that. Oh and I’m in Florida . . . So, the internet connection isn’t as strong. I’m kind of liking my stay here in Florida here too. Though, the fireworks sucked. We had to watch a good pair of fireworks from a far distance, along with billions of mosquito bites. I’m currently reading the Red Pyramid and the Warriors: The Power of the Three series. Though, I’m somehow pulled in more by Rick Riordan’s book. I’m at page 156 in the third book of the Warriors: The Power of the Three series, and I’m at page 225 on the Red Pyramid. I’ve finished the Harry Potter series, so I’m now waiting for the movie to come out. I hope they include every single detail in the movie. I don’t CARE if it becomes a 4 or 5 hour movie. I want all the details in the movie.

Plus, I’ve written about 100 pages or so in my book. It’s nice so far. I hope you all find a way somehow how to read the book. Oh and I’ve downloaded many songs to my laptop. So, I don’t have to go to Youtube and wait for the videos to load up. Mediafire is the place you wanna go if you wanna download free and legal songs onto your computer or iPod. That’s all I have to say. Bye!

Florida’s Awesome So Far (Shorter Version)

Well, so far I have not been posting much at all lately. But, here it goes.

For the past days the whole family’s been staying at a condo in a neighborhood called Newcastle inside the city of Naples. So, far we’ve found out we have two public pools, Patricia’s friend Alexandra, Patricia and I are making an app, and that we have somehow found a way to bypass the problem with the internet in the condo with my dad’s convenient EVO. Oh yeah, and I finished the last Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was such an awesome ending! Now, I’ve finally read a Harry Potter book that hasn’t come out in theaters, so I would have to imagine it through that way. I was able to imagine how the movie would be like. Though, I know for certain that the movie is not going to be as good as the book, as it has always been.

Well, let’s see how I can start this . . . I woke up around 5:20 or 5:30 and sneaked my laptop from the leaving room of our apartment. Since the floor was made of a very nice fabric that was soft and almost soundless, I was able to retrieve my laptop without making a sound. Since right now Alexandra, Patricia and I are currently in the business of making an app and we have to work up the designs, I decided to check out some cool features I had installed into my laptop from OpenOffice.

Perfume Business and Harry Potter

Today was a bit dramatic and irritating for me. Rachael and Anabelle made obnoxious noises that kept me up from 4 AM, till 9 AM, without sleep. It may not seem like much to you, but, since I haven’t gotten used to waking up early in the morning anymore, this made me extremely tired and vague. My eyes blurred up everything, and I felt slightly light headed. So, when Rachael and Anabelle left the extremely small room to go outside and eat breakfast, along with everybody else, I decided to take a short nap. The cool part was the fact that I had a dream. After such a long time!

I was in a picture. Holding a pickaxe and a hog’s head (ironically, there’s a chapter from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that is called the hog’s head), and grinning rather reluctantly. It sort of made feel powerful and muscular. Well eventually, that moment ceased to exist. I dreamt about being back in the church corridor I was in yesterday during church. 5 kids were walking by . . . most of them looked tall, handsome and especially beautiful, wearing silhouette clothes.  I almost assumed this scrawny and untidy looking middle schooler was Harry Potter, so I ran up to him and wanted to say something . . . to my least expectation was that the face formed into Samara, AKA, the Ring girl. I immediately backed up and jumped out a big window. Though, jumping out of the window wasn’t my decision . . . the dream sort of made me do it, making me wake up once I fell onto the grassy floor.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to eat breakfast, unless, I wanted to take an apple or a banana. So, I just pulled a small and plump apple and read a bit more of Harry Potter. To my LEAST expectation, I got all the way near page 800, while my mom finished the Prisoner of Azkaban and moved on to the Goblet of Fire. Essentially we talked for about an hour about the book and tried to predict when the 2nd part of the Deathly Hallows book was going to be published.

I’m almost about to finish this book, which makes me feel great. Moving on to a couple of hours of reading and sitting around, eating fruits and vegetables, I decided to go into the pool. Honestly, I don’t know why my eyes are blurring up as fast and as bad as it was the first and second time I went into the pool, and had my eyes open. For the past days, dad and Eugen had been watching the Market, which started to get really annoying, so mom decided to change to That 70’s Show. I just love that show, even the old episodes are hilarious. Though, I’d still suggest no one under the age of 13 or that plans on cleansing their life early, should watch this show. It may have some inappropriate content.

My sister and Alexandra (Alexandra is talking the F.C.A.T.; sort of like the CRCT, except for Florida) made an amazingly good perfume for woman, specially, that has an beautiful aroma. I don’t remember what they called their product, but it seemed like a really relevant title and a good idea. I gave them some business ideas on how to progress all the way into a successful perfume business. I decided to be their ‘techno dude’, as Alexandra called me. Though, I wasn’t paying attention to what they said they were going to be costing the product because I was listening to the song Stuck Like Glue. I loved the song, especially that Sugarland sings it and is good at it. 😀

Drama and ‘How To Train Your Dragon’

Nobody (I don’t literally mean it) can right now experience what I am going through right now. I mean . . . I just feel so pressured, irritated, sad and angry. I’m not gloomy or depressed. I am just really confused. Nothing interesting had happened lately . . . I was just reading Order of the Phoenix for a few minutes. I accomplished getting all the way toward page 634. I am very close to edging near the end. My mom had already progressed to The Prisoner of Azkaban. Man, she’s a really fast reader. I just know she won’t catch up to me. It’s logical.

Though, around the afternoon, the baby, Brooke got picked up from her mother, while I was outside with my only friend, whom was a boy. His name was Nathan. Also, what was interesting was that when Nathan and I were having a conversation in the front of the house, when all of the sudden, Sebastian’s son, Matthew (it’s supposed to be pronounced in French), was walking around and than all of the sudden . . . Suzanna walked up behind him and grabbed Matthew by one arm, throwing him in the air into her arms. Nathan and I just gasped in a horrified look. We both knew that was illegal to manhandle another child that was not yours.

But, what could I do about it?

Eventually around the afternoon we all played the Grudge game, because we were all so hyped up on the Grudge since for the past days we’ve been playing in the pool, the Grudge game. Everybody hated the fact that I was playing the Grudge girl because I was always making her kill sound whenever she would murder somebody, and they got scared. Sometimes, I just get really bored of these things. Eventually another neighbor came around and was using a bike. The father was awesome or just cool. He was actually a pretty good socializing person. Plus, Eugen (the wife of Suzanna) and Suzanna were having such a loud argument and loud bursts of tears. Wait, that didn’t sound right.

So, we had to wait an hour for them to stop the fight, so Eugen and Suzanna could leave and we could have the house to ourselves for awhile. My mom handled the bitch Joshua. I’m sorry for that. I just had to say it. Eventually, he just turned quiet, and we watched How To Train Your Dragon. It was an awesome movie to watch allover again. Honestly, I thought they made the movie pretty well. And I was greatly amazed by all the species of dragons and by Night Fury. I want Night Fury as my pet. Except I’ll call him Black Thunder! Epic name right? I’ve seen How To Train Your Dragon about 5 times, and watching it after awhile felt really good. It was so good, that even I hadn’t noticed that Eugen and Suzanna came home. Rachael and Joshua got into a very bloody and dramatic fight until the parents had to deal with it, and make sure they weren’t too close anymore. Odd.

I wasn’t able to read so much of my book . . . so I just closed the light, and fell asleep.
