“Avatar” – Movie special (2009)

I love Avatar, it is one of my favorite movies from last year. I couldn’t have watched a better movie then Avatar.

The movie itself was great because it expresses all of the elements of life. I just felt so happy seeing the movie, the movie brought me some memories from my old times. I cried out of happiness, after seeing the movie. Some people say: “They always leave best for last”, well it certainly was true of Avatar, coming out in the last month of the year.

I just can’t stop thinking about Avatar. I saw it in 3D which made the experience a whole lot better. Also it was hard to forget about it when almost every blog I knew has been talking about Avatar. I knew I would find a movie that I would get so addicted to. It always happens to me, I do some kind of activity and then all I can think about is that particular activity.

People have different ways of living, like the blue humanoid race in the movie Avatar called the Navi and they live a whole lot different according to the movie. The movie shows a man who has parallelized feet and then he becomes one of the Navi kind. Learning their way, how to live, until his kind starts attacking the Navi’s home tree, looking for a valuable mineral. The Navi kind are forced to battle the humans to save their world from extinction. The movie “Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen” triumphed in first place, but by January Avatar ended up wining over $1 billion dollars making the movie first place.

I was so happy to know that Avatar went into it’s rightful place, I am a fan of Transformers, but the second movie had to much action and it was a little mature for me. I enjoyed the first Transformers, but I think Micheal Bay (the director of Transformers) went a little to far on the second Transformers. I think James Cameron did a great job on Avatar: the images, the graphics and the beauty of Pandora. The movie was so refreshing, I wish I could put a video about Avatar, but I am not at that level yet. Well, I think I have watched other James Cameron’s movies, it’s just that I don’t know which one I saw from him. But right now I only know that he made Avatar, so Avatar is my favorite movie from James Cameron. 🙂

What is your favorite part in Avatar?

Did you enjoy Avatar?

  4. Great article, Andrew! May I suggest, when you talk about a movie, insert a video. It’s easy; When you make a new post, right there next to the Insert Picture button there’s Insert Video. You’ll be able to post the link to the video from YouTube and it will play on your site. I hope to see more movie reviews in the future! Cheers, AmberFireFeather

My favorite part in Avatar was when the main characters love interest (I totally forget her name, I fail) was screaming at the main character to get up when they were lying in the forest. The emotion was just so ingeniously displayed. I loved it!

I definetly enjoyed Avatar, but the whole idea behind the stary is as old as time itself, but setting that fact aside it was one of my favorites of 2009! C:

But, even still Avatar is not my favorite movie. Andrew, my favorite movie just came out on DVD and if you have a chance you should totally rent it! I was ecstatic when it came out, it called 9. It was in the theares back in September, and as a bonus the deleted scenes were just awesome! 8D And there was a really adorable deleted scene with the character named 6.

I agree with you, it was a pretty cool. Well, Avatar is my favorite movie this year 🙂

I really wanted to see 9 before I knew Avatar. It was so cool, I hoped you enjoyed that movie. Maybe when I see the movie I can put a quick edit and write about 9.
Hahahaha! You are a funny teenager, I didn’t get to see 9 because my parents didn’t have time to watch it and my mom thought it was a little too violent and mature.
But sometimes she decides to change her mind, I don’t know I will ask my mom to watch it on Netflix. Sorry it took me so long to reply, I was hearing some of my favorite music while watching Halo and final fantasy. Darn! I wish I could show you some of my video’s but they speak to much bad words in them. I mostly like to hear hard rock or sometimes metal. It depends on the song and the band. go to

to see if your interested in one of the songs I watch. 🙂

      Scidrew out!

It was rated pg-13 but I don’t think it needed to be rated that high, it doesn’t cuss NOT ONE cuss word in the entire film. Mature how? The scariest thing in there was probably those really cool machines and the rag dolls souls getting sucked out ( *cries for the loss of her favorite characters :'(* ).

All in all it was that bad rating wise, if you watched transformers then the machines in 9 are slightly less scary then them, and due to size issues most of them are probably only as big as a Smart Car! xD

      • scidrew says:

Well… When my dad came with me to watch iron man on my birthday. It showed those early previews of 9. In that preview it had cool fighting and action, but I don’t think the machines were that good. (sigh) 😦

Then I told my mom about 9 she said it was to mature for me at 9 years old. But right now she doesn’t want to watch it I’m allowed to watch it with my dad but that was too late because it’s now on DVD.

      • sasammygirl says:

        You could rent it. :p

      • scidrew says:

Yeah I could, I’ll probably ask my dad if he could rent the movie. (from Redbox or Netflix)

      • willowbatel says:

Believe me, I’m working on it.

      • sasammygirl says:

*meant to say WASN’T that bad*

  6. CoffeeCan says:

As you’ve read my blog post, Andrew, you know that that I thought the story sucked big-time. The visuals were amazing though. Rumour has it that he decided to use it as a graphical test-bed for his next film, Battle Angel Alita (based on the manga). If that is true, then that movie should at least look damn amazing.

  7. ajikinai says:

I love the world…It’s so beautiful… The plants, the air, the land…I really want to go there if I could… “What a beautiful world.” Even it’s just in a dream, I really want to go such place…

    • sasammygirl says:

As do I. I love how everything was connected, everything (or everybody) somewhat knew they were all equal to each other and they didn’t kill just for having the thrill. Pandora was absolutely breathtaking, the flora, the fauna…it was all pure majesty.

    • scidrew says:

I just wish I could be like the Navi people and ride the flying birds.

  8. nohara11 says:

I really want to see this movie, but unfortunately in my village (central Borneo, Indonesia) there is no cinema…
    poor me!

  9. willowbatel says:

You’re only 9 and you have a blog! I had no idea how young you were! I thought your image was just a picture of you as a child and that you were much older in reality hahahaha.
There were some concepts in Avatar that were a little immature I agree but I thought it was pretty acceptable considering the messages it was conveying.
My favorite part was when Awa (their deity) sent the creatures of the world to defend the planet. That and the idea that somewhere in the universe, there is a tree as large as Home Tree still alive.

    • scidrew says:

Actually, I am 10 almost 11. You might have mistaken my age, probably I’m going keep this picture forever. (Maybe) I’ve also noticed you’ve been getting lot’s of commenter’s great job.
